Subject: Re: GRAND OPENING Of my new, all Vanagon only Ebay store.

Try http://stores.ebay.com/rdsrds123 Yeah, I saw that mirror and thought I could sell it. All Vanagon all the time unless I find something interesting. Currently there is a 69 Rolls Royce at my favorite junk yard. It is so disguised with crust that most folks dont know it is a RR. I may put some of its parts on my ebay store site too. Would you like to see these? Wonder how much they will fetch?

I entered a sale at $1.23. No products, but is shows my facility and some stripped parts, and how I treat them.

Click on the individual store parts. Some of them show future parts that will be for sale.Kind of a sneak preview. I do this when I can(most times). As I acquire parts, I might show them in sales, this way.I will list them when they are prepared.I also take requests and have a few of them already. Many folks dont want to tread in a junkyard or other healthy place, looking for parts. I like doing this.Let me know what you want.Remember, parts other than generic parts are an "as you find them" commodity.Cant come up with a diesel oil pan in an instant(yes I can),or Carat Tornado Red rear bumper(no I cant)this minute. I will keep these requests on que and keep a look out.

Like America, this store is an experiment.Maybe it will work and and we can have some fun.Right now I have a ton of overhead, and am working myself way too hard, stocking the shelves.

Ebay seems to treats Ebay stores as an unwanted step child.Dont know why. Ebay will provide a counter for an individual auction sale, but wont provide one for an ebay store to see how many folks visit.Go figure. Ebay store also wont put my sales with all the rest that are listed in normal ebay auction catagories. They will, however add some at the bottom in green one line thing,if an ebay search shows 30 or fewer items in that search. So, I need to go out and get people to come into my store ,or starve.Still, I dont know if they visited. How do I figure out if a promotion is successful? What I do is list a nice item that I know will get lots of hits,as a regular auction, and add pictures of what is in my store. Also lots of words that draw(hopefully, but once again, how can I tell if someone visited?) folks to click onther store icon.

My store is chocked full. It would take hours to look at all the items. Why go on vacation when you can spend your time reading and viewing my sales?I try to make it fun ,interesting and informative.I am getting lots of mechanical questions.I want to help folks see that many of these parts can be installed by them. I have recruited(I guess) several new list members.
