still trying to figure out my high temp gauge issues. today while idling and gauge at 6/8 the LED started to blink with correct on/off of cooling fan. I wondering if the LED is a function temp and actived from a mechanical means (gauge location for example) or electronic and thus at a OHM value. One of the "odd" symptoms of my LED is during the start up LED test the light will NOT go out unless I leave the ignition on the ACC position for 5-7 sec prior to starting the van. I quick jump in the van and go will cause the LED to stay on forever. (or atleast the igntion being turned off!) Therefor something is wrong in the circuit. The low coolant level module is removed from the equation for testing, as it has no effect on this odd behavior. comments? Anyone got another gauge cluster laying around they want to part with, I think my gremlin is in the gauge. -- shawn feller www.carboncow.net www.carboncow.com |
