For the most part, the Vanagon core is unique. Especially in its width. It is big. A good radiator shop may be able to make one for you but it won't be much cheaper. My Westy's front heater core has a slow coolant leak and the replacement cores are spendy at $350+. Has anybody tried fitting a heater core from Jetta/Honda/Toyota/etc (something easy to find cheap at the junkyard) to the Vanagon front heater box? Very interested to know what car you got the part from and how much fabrication you had to do to the VW heater box to make it work. thanks much! Robert H Ithaca NY '84 Westy "Busaru" |
