A high pressure truck tire gauge will do the same thing as a set of A/C
gauges. Just doesn't cost as much. Use it to read the pressure at the
service ports. All your high tech liquid filled $200.00 gauges do is read
pressure, same as a hand held gauge. Just not as convent maybe.
    I thought your problem was not being able to find a way to adapt your
gauges to your van. I'm not advising that you throw out your gauges, but a
temporary fix is a $10.00 tire gauge!
    By the way I carry a "4 Seasons" gauge in my pocket all summer. I use it
for quick tests on the service isle when I'm writing service invoices. It
costs about $30.00, but its basically a 400# tire gauge. If you still need
to use your gauges, see a Snap-On tool man for the adapter. Call any repair
shop in your area, they will know how to get in touch with one.

    As far as the BR 549 number goes, well that's another story altogether,
I was hoping to get a laugh I guess, He Haw - He Haw!            I'm dating
myself now.
