First ... it's not magnet or vacuum. It uses vacuum no matter how you hook it up. The choice is magnets on the CV or the negative side of the coil for speed sensing.

Of course, you'll have to have or buy some wire to extend the CC's harness up to the front in that the unit wasn't made for rear engined vehicles.

Units for motorcycles, for all that I've ever seen, are a whole 'nuther animal.
