I am stilling having a sale on the front heater cores for the Vanagon.  $209
for factory VW front cores.  I only have a couple of these left at this
price though so if you want one let me know soon.  You can call me to order
one or just put in the comments section of the webstore order that you are
ordering it with the Vanagon List Special pricing.  The store doesn't
automatically run your card, I do that manually so I can make the change in
price when I run the order.  I know that a certain other store is always
cheaper than me (insert sarcasm here), but you would be surprised how many
parts we have on our site that are actually cheaper (our normal price for
this core beats theirs every day, this special beats their pants off).  Give
us a chance to help you.

My Westy's front heater core has a slow coolant leak and the replacement
cores are spendy at $350+.  Has anybody tried fitting a heater core from
Jetta/Honda/Toyota/etc (something easy to find cheap at the junkyard) to the
Vanagon front heater box?  Very interested to know what car you got the part
from and how much fabrication you had to do to the VW heater box to make it
work. thanks much!
