Subject: Installing a 1982 Westy rear seat into 1987 water cooled Vanagon
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1; format=flowed

Hi Volks,

As the subject line says, I'm susing out how to install the above seat into my van.

What I need to know is (looking at the same thing in a water-cooled Westfalia) whether the rear heater assembly lives on top of the floor of the storage compartment, or is the storage compartment floor cut to allow it slide around the heater?

If it is not cut, where are the wires to the fan routed, i.e. where do they come out of the van floor?

I need the heater in the winter, so removing it is not a viable option.

Thanks for any insight,

Dave
