On a water cooled Westy, the rear heater is mounted the same way as a water cooled Vanagon...directly on the metal floor.

The seat base wood is cut around the heater. The front vent area is also cut.

A heater cover box covers everything under the seat, so you have less storage room.

Perhaps someone can link photos of the rear seat of a water cooled westy with the cover box installed and with it removed.
