I'm 'corn-fused'... did you mean 'solenoid'? or possibly distributor or coil?

If no spark from the coil I would start by verifying you are getting power to it with the ignition on.

Hopefully something simple -- when I've had ignition parts fail it has almost always been while driving down the road. A failure while sitting could be as easy as a loose wire.

As someone once said -- "Mechanical problems take minutes to diagnose and hours to fix... electrical problems take hours to diagnose and minutes to fix". Good Luck.
