Actually on a non-VW car I finally went with a pad 'guaranteed not to
squeak' and to my surprise they did not.  Are there pads for the Vanagon
with such a claim?


I have head that some pads are impregnated with graphite to eliminate
squeaking, even heard of someone adding their own graphite by drilling
tiny hole in the pad and inserting pencil lead.  Sounds pretty desperate
though.
