With my 64 MGB I had NO problem with turning off the Flow-Through Ventilation.

Either the starter wouldn't start, the generator wouldn't generate, the Smiths electric fuel pump wouldn't, or the two batteries wouldn't hold a charge. Learned an awful lot about cars from that one! Girls liked it though. :-)
