For the last several months I have been inching my way up the coastline from Mexico, and have been happy with the reverse scenario: starting with So. Cal 3.40/gal and slowly dropping as I drove north, now at 2.87/gal n.w. washington.
My progress north was so slow that I talked with many long distance bicyclists (the same ones) over a thousand mile section. One Swiss guy was riding from Miami to Vancouver B.C., with a 90 pound bike. Man, those guys are tough. I might do that some day (yeah, right)
........and a question.....I just hit reply and typed this out, which has always sent my response to list, but this time sent it to Maggie. Anyone know why? Do I need to reconfigure something ?....or have I just spent too many miles on the road?
