Hello all- Trying to swap in a new fan temp switch on an 87 Westy GL. Its in a fairly inaccessable spot so it seems that a socket needs to be used. I took the switch to Sears and 2 FLAPS and couldn't find anything deep enough. It seemed to be a 27mm (maybe 29, I'm away from my notes), which I did find, but nowhere near deep enough to fit over the plastic plug section. It needs to be a seriously deep socket. I asked the vendor who provided the part, and they simply said "we use the tool truck. When I asked for manufacturers who might provide to individuals, no help was given. I realize its not their job to explain how to find tools, and that's why I'll let them remain nameless. So anyway... where can I find a deep enough socket for this? thanks for any pointers, rob campbell 87 westy, long beach CA |
