It is not uncommon for long backorders to occur on South African parts, =
and
this has happened once or twice with these grills. But that is normal =
for SA
parts and does not necessarily mean they are discontinued. There are =
often
strikes and other disruptions in SA that can cause supply chain =
disruptions.
Last I heard (and I'm basing this on what customers told me, so I could =
be
wrong), Gowesty etc. had been sold out of these for quite some time, =
which
may have given rise to this NLA rumour (which circulated on the list a
couple of months ago as well).  However even while this rumour was
circulating, I received a shipment of them. (I import them myself; I =
don't
believe Gowesty does.)  Unfortunately I sold them all (faster than I
expected, since apparantly no one else had any) and my next container =
isn't
until sometime in the fall, so now it will be a while. Of course they =
could
always get discontinued tomorrow and make a liar out of me, but as of =
now my
sources tell me they are not. Incidentally, mine still come with silver
emblems, not black.
