Hello List, I'm trying to get my hands on a hose to replace the one that goes from the oil tower to the throttle body elbow. My VW dealer can only get the hose in 5 meter lengths for $25. Anyone know where I can get just the 8 inches or so that I need?

Brian, this is one of the most common problems I see here in my shop. That VW breather hose collapses with the engine heat. It was not the proper type hose for the application. I use 3/4" red heater hose from NAPA or any good auto supply (FLAPS). Cost should be about 5 bucks ! It ill be hard to push on the plastic breather heater nipple, use some grease and chuck the fitting in a vice for leverage and it will go on.

Cheers,
