Can't offer a whole lot of help on the fuel pump noise, but the green knob you describe is for the gasoline powered heater for the camper. Should make the whole camper nice and toasty, at the cost of about 1/4 gallon of gas an hour. It may be what you are hearing is the fan for it, and not actually the fuel pump. Turn the green knob all the way counterclockwise (I think ) until it clicks. That will shut off the gas heater.

As for the fridge, it is possible the cooling gel has set up a little - there are several articles in the archives that detail that. Assuming the rest of the AC portion of the camper works, can you feel any heat coming from the vent on the rear side of the fridge area? Also be aware that it takes 20-30 minutes of run time before the fridge actually starts to cool.

Hope that is of some marginal help - just some things I have learned from tinkering with Blue Midget (my '80 Westy) and reading here.

David.
