Thanks for the responses.

If I may loosly quote Van Morrison, Now I'll have to "get down to what is really wrong," .

I was just running some quick "tests" and dealing with curiosity when I feared I might have done some damage due to Bentley's warning.

It seems fuel is not gettting to the cylinders. The bus sat idle for about 8 months. Then it would start for about 3 seconds and stall out. The fuel pump was running full time once the key was turned on even if the engine was running. Strange that.

Then she decided not to run at all.

Because of the right to left slope of my driveway it may have been starved of fuel--and with that scenario combined with fuel starvage possibly the pump burned itself out-or to a point where I'm not gettting the correct fuel pressure.

Anyway I'm gettting ahead of myself, because I have to run some basic tests like check fuel pump pressure, check if the grounds have gotten poor while the bus sat, etc. I replaced the FI relays and the pump isn't running full time anymore. I need a second person to check if it's getting that original dose of power when the key is turned on. I have an unsuspecting buddy coming to town in the next day or so.

Since it ran fine--except had a blown clutch master cylinder--when I stopped I leaning toward something simpler than more complicated, but we'll see.

In case it's not blatanly obvious at this point I'm barely keeping my head above water when it comes to understanding the ins an outs of fuel injection. But I'll do some reading after coffee and keep from touching anything until then..

Thanks for the responses. And if I get stuck after some basic tests and ground clean ups, I'll return for the lists wisdom.

Best, Jeff 83.5 Westy LA,CA
