I had an '85 GL with the 1.9L wbx for a number of years. I have now had for a number of years an 88 GL with 2.1L WBX. The '85 GL with the 1.9L definitely got better gas mileage than my 88 GL with the 2.1L.

Regards,

John Rodgers 88 GL Driver
