Subject: propane shut off valve
Content-Type: text/plain; format=flowed

hey all, i have a 2 year old go westy replacement propane tank on my 87 syncro westy. this camping weekend i noticed that when i went to shut off propane at the tank, it did not shut off. i turned the valve closed and upon standing back up i could still here my fridge flame cruising along nicely thru the flue vent. i thought there must be some residual propane still left in the lines burning off so i did not give it a second thought. once i got home however, the fridge was still lit. i scratched my head and checked the valve again, tightly closed. propane still on. does this indicate a bad valve as i suspect? what is entailed in replacing that valve? could it be just gunked up with off roading crud? it looks cleans but i suppose some dirt could have worked its way into the threads. any thoughts. TIA jason 87 syncro westy so many roadsto ease my soul...
