Yes, That was/is the battery charger 12 volt power supply. It is a somewhat crude supply. You really don't want to do the 110/220 volt transformer thing. Too many issues wit switches, grounded, grounding, There is a difference) neutrals etc. Go all 110V and replace the fridge heater element.
