Well, I had a 68, brand new in 68 w/manual tranny....as I recall...loaded she got 17 mpg.

My 84 Wasserboxer manual gets 20 whether I am on the hwy or street..of course it is a 1.9.

What would be the expected MPG for both a 1968 VW bus and a 1986 VW Vanagon? The '68 is standard trans with stock motor and the '86 is also a stock motor, but with an automatic trans and A/C.

Thanks
