I"m sure not everyone would be as lucky as me but I was able to get some pliers on mine and with minimal force to remove the unit. Since I was replacing it what did I care if I screwed up...but others may be reusing it. Very little torque should be needed. I couldn't even get my 29mm on it due to the way it set behind the opening. What a pain!
