I'm the fourth owner of my '87 GL with @ 350k on the clock. The first 300k+ was put on by the original owner- he replaced or repaired many things along the way including the engine and tranny (auto). The interior looks hardly worn aside from needing some cleaning and some 'yellowing' here and there. The second owner, a friend of the first put about 25k on it and the third owner never got it running after an overheating episode. I put on the rest of the milage. It needs a tranny rebuild among other things but that's no fault of the vehicle or design so much as ignorance on the part of myself and the previous two owners.

If I fixed the bumpers, did some body work and attended to various small details it would look stock sharp. I've always wondered if the original owner replaced or repaired much of the interior or if they just hold up that well. I don't anticipate it surviving my three kids as well as it has the previous occupants.

This van has lived in SoCal all its life, btw.

Robert
