Probably so. I have an American-style stand now and have used them in
the past on VW and porsche engines. You need to get some 4 inch long
1/2 inch ID pipe nipples and allthread and nuts to extend the engine
out from the stand so you can work with the flywheel on, if I recall
correctly. Just ask if you need photos.
