In case anyone searching the archives ever wants to know... it was very difficult to source a 29mm "deep socket" for the fan temp switch. I was about to use a Snap-On connection, but was able to find one at Pep Boys (after Sears, Kragen, Auto Zone, Harbor Freight, Home Depot, and Lowes all failed). Its sold as an "Axle socket" (not located near the other sockets) for Ford Focus/Escort, was $11.
