I understand the problem.Really I do.Not only with Vanagon screws, but with anything you folks want to buy from us.Most of us are unaware of the problem down here. However,I dont need the headachs of lost shippments. In one month of selling Vanagon parts,I got 1 death threat,1 person who bought a part and gutted it.Claims I send a bad part.A friend of the death threat person bought a part(the threat was full of WARNINGS and a person named WARNER bought my cheapest part minuteas after I got the threat )and I wont sell to him. ect ect ect. I mean why create a situation for myself that will make life a pain, when I dont have to? Im gonna get two negative feedbacks out of this(my first) ,but I dont care. I dont ship without delivery confermation, period.I use insurance (ups) or pay extra for USPS insurance( a racket- $1.30/$50)for evern $20 parts.I test my aprts and adjust them or paint or fix them.I tell the buyer other wise in the sales ad.They need to read themmmm. Anyway, tomorrow,I will send to vanagon list many pictures of the screws(10 or 20).I found westy utility box screws that fit.A size 6 flat head is too small. A size 8 is too big. Many vendors use a size 6 oval head to get by.I found a size 7 sheet metal screw in stainless steel.A perfect fit.And you cant have them, up there in Canada(just kidding).I found them in my last trip to Switzerland :>) buying Vanagon parts. They will be here by labor day. Sorry, they are only going to be avlaiable in a weaty kit.Business ya know. Roger http://stores.ebay.com/rdsrds123 I got 67 parts for Vanagons in my ebay store. That is 20 percent of all the Vanagon parts on ebay. Go get em! |
