Hi folks, Finally got to inspect the transmission, and found a 1" crack in the front cover where the lower bolts join it to the case. I've never heard of this happening before; but then again past 200k anything goes, I suppose. Joel W. sent me an etka page and the part# for the cover is 091-301-197, but I figure that would be a pretty long shot in any vendor/dealer inventory. I'm considering a drain/clean/jBweld scenario. I'm a little uncomfortable with dropping the gearbox to correct it, having never done it before, and as always for me this would be a NYC curbside operation with little room/time for error. Thoughts?
