Roger, Yes I made sure the crankshaft and camshaft were timed together. The two dots and the single dot, single went in the grove of the two dots. I checked it several times before finally putting the bolts back in. I have another engine coming from a Subi Conversion, that is coming with all the electronics. I will start fresh, replace all the existing electrical components in the engine bay. Then this winter, I'm going to try and break that crankshaft bolt loose, and again try and find out what went wrong. I appreciate everyone's help. Lyle Lathem 1985 Vanagon GL |
