John, I have a Bentley, and I do have lots of compression, I put new rings in when I looked at it. I feel like if I had a new wiring harness, and components, or go to a carb, and points.. It would run. Also the plastic that holds the Hall Pickup is gone, the wires just hang over, and are plugged in. There appears to be no breaks in the wires...? I priced those at VeeDubds ..$106.00 if I recall...? if that fixed it, that would be great... but I have spent several hundred dollars just on parts along, I'm afraid to add it up..lol..! I may have bought into a vehicle I can't afford... by looking at what others are paying for repairs and parts. I may have to just sell it and try to get, the money paid back for the van, and try a vehicle more parts price friendly vehicle. Lyle Lathem 1985 Vanagon GL |
