Subject: NVC: MERCEDES HELP
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=iso-8859-1

First I should ask if anyone knows of a Mercedes list, similar to the vanagon list, where an inquiry such as follows may be more appropriately asked? I feel safe asking this here with NVC in the subject line, and knowing that many of you own old Mercedes.

My wife's 1995 Mercedes E320 wagon has a turn signal problem. The turn signal will blink 1 to 3 times then die......no more light either on the dash or at the signal bulb. Most of the time it doesn't light or blink at all. The fusing is fine or it wouldn't blink sometimes, and I've checked the fuses. I'm thinking relay, but the owner's manual doesn't show the locations of the relays. Anyone have an idea of its location?

What's really odd, is that the owner's manual describes a process by which an indicator light comes on when the signal fails, as does the bulb when it fails, yet there are no other indicators of failure other than the lack of a green dash light or the signal itself.

Appreciate any suggestions that someone might have. Cheers, Anthony '89 Syncro GL (Hidalgo) '95 MB E320 Wagon
