Well, I just returned from the first trip in the 86'. It was a short 400 mile trek from Port Huron, MI to Roscommon, MI for some canoeing on the Au Sable river with friends. I changed the oil and filter again and didn't have any more trouble with the bliniking oil light. The trip up on Thursday went without a hitch. My last bus didn't have the folding back seat like this one - it was great. We quite enjoyed it. The day on the river was good and overt all the trip was a success.

Now for the bad. At some point the bus sprung a pretty significant oil leak. I haven't assesed where the leak is coming from yet but was sure to keep a very close eye on the oil level. A couple of times on the expressway she coked up a bit and ran poorly - but only for a few minutes and then all was well. When we finally reached home I noticed a black soot on the side by the exhaust. That can't be a good thing.

So all in all I am pleased she ran good. I need to get my head in there and see where she is leaking and investigate the other situation. I probably pushed taking her a bit - I mean I was fairly confident since I had put about 150 - 200 miles on her already with no issues - but that wasn't at a constant run. Thanks to everyone who helped me get her ready for the trip - she was the highlight of the whole thing.

-- Thanks,

Jeff
