Robert Fisher, Yes, I think that's what I need to do, I would be happy to pay freight if it's not too bad. The engine reasonable too of course. That little black box broke off the firewall in my hands, the tabs broke off.

We place sit for a guy, that actually bought the van for us In the first place. I have wanted a VW all my life, never was able to get one. He knew I was drooling over this bronze looking Vanagon set up at the used car fence to sell. Anyway, the car is more than just a car, it was my dream, and a gift from a grateful second dad like fellow. He said he would help me get another engine, and pay shipping. He had his mechanic look at it, who knows an air cooled VW man...! He came out, and, it didn't make sense to him either. He has several VW cars, and an older VW van.. 60's model I think. He has never seen a Vanagon around here except the one at the salvage yard I bought.
