Folks:
I don't know if I will ever get around to converting my van to an AW,
so here goes:

I have an '82 diesel Adventurewagen.  The fixed fiberglass hightop is
in good condition.  All the windows and moonroof work.  One side window
has a spider crack, and part of the wood platform below the rear window
is rotted.  The upper bed platform and wood trim, as well as most of
the the AW parts are present.  The lower bed platform (above the engine
lid) is coming apart, and there are no bed cushions.  The cabinets are
in fair / good condition.  This is all attached to an '82 diesel vanagon,
that was stripped of most parts by the PO.  No title, drivetrain, cooling
system, electricals, or wiring harness.  Has doors, dashboard, suspension,
brakes, steering, glass, seats, excellent door and interior panels.
NO seam or window ledge rust, or rot anywhere.  Dents in the slider
door, rear hatch, and on right front corner, all repairable.  The original
beige over Assuan Brown paint is in good, but faded condition.  The
chassis is a great way to transport the top home via a towbar, or if
you have a wrecked / rusted out vanagon and a lot of time, could be
resurrected into a running vehicle.  My price is $2,000 for the whole
thing, or $1,500 for the top, with the the body price negotiable (if
wanted), depending on what AW parts (water tanks, furnace, appliances,
etc.) are desired.  If there are no buyers for the top, I will be junking
the body within a few weeks, so some chassis & interior parts will be
