Yes.

Is it an expensive fix?

No. There is a long rod running from the transmission to the gear shift. It is actually two rods held together with splines and a clamp. Loosen the clamp and rotate the front rod clockwise (clockwise from the transmission's point of view). Rotate it a spline at a time until the gears are back where you want them to be.
