I have been derusting the van this summer and started work around the
service outlets. The original gaskets are in need of replacement.  I have
new ones from BusDepot to install but I have heard criticism of the gaskets
as being part of the problem with the rust due to the material they are made
of.


Are there other [ better] materials to use for these gaskets?


The metal behind the gaskets on mine was not as rusted as I expected but
still not good. I just finished rust removal and really do not want it to
start again.
