you know, the movers just took away all my stuff, but certain things they couldnt pack (hazmats and such) so ive had my BBQ propane tank sitting in my front seat (sealed, though its as empty as its gonna get)and it got me wondering, how hard would it be to plumb a gas regulator/adapter fitting in place of the westy tank? the regulator is a standard part- look in the bbq section at any given walmart. the propane tanks would be no problem to get filled (mines part of an exchange program...anyone know if they got Blue Rhino in north carolina?). the only problem is in transporting the tank- IIRC, propane is heavier than air, so over the engine hatch is probably out. look in any boat-building book for a propane locker for ideas- usually its a sealed box that opens at the top and has a drain tube at the bottom to vent vapors overboard- so maybe the rear area would be ok, if the propane tank was kept in a locker, and vented to the outside.. just a thought nick (anyone ever see a hazmat placarded vanagon? with all the flamamble liquids on board, mebbe i should...haha) --- Richard A Jones <jones@COLORADO.EDU> wrote: > > So my question is ...can I still fill this tank?
