okay... get a dowel of 1 inch in diameter, and cut it to 28 inches in length... open your rear hatch... notice that up above there is sufficient room to store this dowel... I mean the area on top that is covered by the hatch when the hatch is shut, you might have some leaves here if you haven't noticed when you shut the hatch there is plenty of clearance... To use the dowel, move the rear cushion so its perpendicular (standing on its front side), and then swing open the engine lid (without removing it).. Place one end of the dowel jutted against the plate the receives the locking mechanism of the hatch, and place the other end against the back inner edge of the engine lid.. This really beats resting the engine lid on your head when you want to check the oil... |
