I have used and sold Wix filters since 1977. Perhaps the best quality made filter IMHO, but they can be pricey depending on the application. I've used Wix on all my VWs over the years that came with a factory spin-on when I couldn't get my hands on a Mahle or Mann while traveling (I'm pretty mobile these days). In fact I have a Wix on my Wasserboxer right now from one I bought from my two week trip taken take a few months back.

Now Fram.....Don't get me started on those....I wouldn't use one for even a paperweight ;-)

My personal preference, in order: Mahle, Mann, Wix, AC-Delco, Motorcraft -- Jim Thompson 84 Westfalia 2.1 "Ole Putt" 73 K Ghia Coupe "Denise" 72 411 Station Wagon "Pug" oldvolkshome@gmail.com http://www.oldvolkshome.com ********************************** On 8/23/06, Marion Lathem <resiolute@copper.net> wrote: > > I have read all the pro's and con's o nthe filters, but won't Wix.. from > NAPA do the same thing..? > > Lyle Lathem > 1985 Vanagon GL
