Thank you for the helpful advice a while ago regarding our flashing red light/running hot issue. The fix ended up being a new thermostat. The temp gauge needle no longer lurks in the hot zone.

Non-mechanical question...what do you use as a front storage compartment/drink holder? We have the manual transmission so the spring loaded cupholders don't really do the trick. Haven't seen an appealing solution other than perhaps the Go Westy console. Patricia 1988 GL
