I saw it too, what with all the stoodents back in town for skool, there are a bunch of new old Vanagons in town. I talked to one guy with a Weekender, but he was clueless - he thought all he had was an "old hippy van." I told him if he ever wanted to get rid of it... Mine is currently awaiting a new gas tank, which shipped yesterday from BD. Now I need to decide whether or not to seal it with a gas tank coating before I install it, or just paint the outside. I don't know if any of the available products would prevent it from rusting and not impede the flow of fuel by clogging the outlet screen. Does anyone have any experience or insight as to what I should do?
