Subject:      More or less maintenance? Was Re: Resealing gas tank

My experience has been that my Vanagon has not needed any more maintenance than other cars of its era. (Its not fair to compare cars built in the '80s with ones built today.)

What I will agree with is that the result of IGNORING normal maintenance has more severe consequences on a Vanagon than with most other cars.

But then, who would be so callous and cruel to their ride as to ignore normal maintenance??
