After the conversion you'd probably have to take it to the smog referee for approval. I recommend you contact a referee directly for an answer. If he doesn't recognize the conversion by name then I guess he won't be able to pass you.

I don't think CARB gives out their numbers. If you can't obtain it, I can give you the number of my local referee and perhaps he can either answer your question or get you the number of your local referee.
