Katherine:

Here's what I did: http://www.salicos.com/SiriusAnt.htm

I got the under-the-canvas idea from Kim, but my antenna is mounted to a piece of angle iron that is screwed into the side of the luggage rack. I left enough slack up there to move it up in case the rack is loaded and interferes with reception. I hate taking the luggage rack off. (Actually I hate putting it back on.)

Good luck,

Has anyone on the list installed Sirius satellite radio in a Vanagon? The installation instructions that came with my radio are obviously aimed at a regular car. It says to mount the antenna on the back of the roof, and pass the cord through the trunk into the body of the vehicle, up to the front, where the radio is mounted.
