sucky US spec DOT lights aim 25% light "up at trees", or road signs, as DOT regs require. the fluting and light pattern is much better on the e-codes. the e-codes have a nice cutoff pattern with a flareup towards the shoulder and send more light where you really need it - on the road. and these are the words from daniel stern lighting and susquehannah motorsport.. both auxillary lighting retailers..
