I was interested as a Westy newbie to learn that two different strengths of gas cartridges will balance out to make a **normally** weighted (i.e. no bikes etc. ) van hatch work properly.

I might have simply gotten lucky with the end result, but as it appeared that both cartridges were weak, I simply installed 1 new jobber cartridge. Works great.
