Nope, provided you remember to put it down first... I have forgotten numerous times over the years, hence the reason for a new lid and mechanism. :-) Fits just fine in my old double wide 7' high door, with about 1-2" to spare. I installed 8' doors in our new place, for when I get a Syncro Westy... ;-)
