I have said it before and some disagree But diconeecting the 02 sensor is not a bad thing especialy if the exhaust is fouled from other conditions I know that if you plug a new sensor in when you have driven it full rich for a day or two only fouls the new sensor. The exhaust sysytem is so sooted continues to foul the sensor even if the orignial problem is fixed my list of things to check are throttle switch coolant sensor ground wires at the left head and a good old fashoned pin test realy helps change the oil right away if the gas mileage has dropped to the low teens Bob Donalds
