Fellow List Members, I have been watching and learning for some time, thanks for all the great ideas, and support. This morning on my way to work in my 1988 Westfalia 2.1, recent Head Work and new Transmission. Say 5-10 minutes after starting the motor from sitting all night, I begin to idle near 4,000 RPM. What could it be to make this happen all of a sudden. We did get some rain here in Austin, a buddy at work said it could be related but i dunno. I wanted to get your inuput. What should I check, I am not your advanced mechanic but I am a technical guy, rebuilt motors (yes they ran afterwards, well most of them...), yanked them out put them in etc... your input is greatly apreciated.
