I make a thick "paste" using "Comet or Ajax" and a small amount of bleach. Wet the top only slightly so the paste will stick. Using a stiff brush work the paste in, let it sit an hour of so before rinsing off. You need to be sure and do this in the shade. Keep the paint wet so if any bleach runs off it wont leave a streak. I have a friend that said he sprays "Pam" (non-stick cooking spray) on the paint so any run off wont leave a mark. I have not tried this so make up your on mind on this one. I always put a coat of wax on after, when finished with the wash the top will be bare, and mildew will set in rather quickly.
