Subject: looking at a Vanagon In Topeka, KS w/ auto trans problems
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=iso-8859-1

Hi all,

I'm looking at a Vanagon located in Topeka KS that has decent mileage (around 70k), the body looks to be in GC, but has some auto transmission problems.

THe owner says it goes into reverse, but has no forward gears.. is this a common problem? is it easily fixed?

I live in Buffalo, NY, and would like to get this van, but would like to avoid having to tow it home-I'd like to fly in and drive it home..

are there any list memebers that would be willing to look at the van for me? I'd gladly re-imburse you for your time... my main concerns are that there is no ATF in the coolant and Vice versa

I'd really like to get this van,but it being over 1000 miles away make it a little difficult..

thnaks for any and all help!

Percy- Buffalo NY
